RemodelWest Completes Two Bathroom Remodels in Sunnyvale, California

Remodel West just recently completed a project in Sunnyvale involving the redesign and construction of two full bathrooms. In the before photos, you can see the use of outdated materials and poor use of space; Remodel West couldn’t wait to put their heads together to redesign these two bathrooms.
Bath 1 was primarily for the 3 children living in the home; strategic use of space was very important. While keeping the double sinks and bathtub/shower as the homeowner requested, Remodel West’s design staff rearranged the placement of all components in this bathroom and consequently utilizing the space most efficiently. Remodel West published in national book.

Two projects designed and built  by Remodel West caught the eye of national publisher Schiffer Publishing and ultimately have been featured in the newly released “coffee table style” book  Asian Influenced Architecture & Design by E. Ashley Rooney.  I was approached by Ms. Rooney over a year ago after our projects caught her eye on our website.  After lengthy discussions, interviews and submitting the photos to her for consideration we were pleased that our projects made the final cut for the book.  Now over a year later the book is out and I am happy to report they made it in the book and are prominently displayed. The first large-scale remodel project featured in the book involved a complete…

Cupertino Resident Recommends Remodel West.

This review came through my LinkedIn account.  If you are not yet LinkedIn I recommend you check it out as a good source to keep in touch with your colleagues. “I hired Bill’s company to do a complete remodel of my 1970s-era kitchen. The designers were very good about listening to my “vision” and implementing it. The construction team and the subcontractors were great; superb quality, excellent work ethic, and wonderful follow-up. The job went well, and when there was an issue, Bill and his team jumped on it and made it right for me. I highly recommend Bill and his company.” April 23, 2010 Top qualities: Great Results , On Time , High Integrity Elinora M. hired Bill as a General Contractor in 2009…

Project scheduling can make or break a remodel project.

Scheduling a construction project may seem obvious to those experienced in construction, but for the homeowner don’t take it for granted that the company you are about to hire takes any pro-active steps to scheduling.  When considering a remodeling firm a very important deciding factor is to understand what a company does to schedule a project and how much of this information is shared before and during construction.     At Remodel West we create a schedule about mid-way through the design in preparation for commencement of construction.  Why, you might ask, would you prepare a schedule so early.  This is primarily for one reason, to establish a realistic construction start date…

Sticking with what works when making one of the biggest purchases of your life. Hints to evaluating a remodel company during times like this.

It’s no secret that many companies across every industry have been challenged by economic times over the past few years.  As you search for a company to help design and remodel  your home it’s more important than ever to have a real understanding of whom you are about to begin a relatively long relationship with.  Being conservative in your selection and not being blind to those overly aggressive companies with suspiciously low-cost estimates will get you off to a good start.  As a long-standing business owner here in Silicon Valley (since 1992) I’ve seen and been challenged by the ups and downs of the valley.  I recently spoke with a mentor of mine from the late ’80’s…
