From the start to the finish Remodel West have exceeded our expectations, handling every aspect of our remodel with professionalism, patience and an attention to detail. It also a company staffed by incredibly dedicated and personable staff. Owner Bill Reid met us at our home to discuss the possibilities with our remodeling goals, he was open and frank about what to expect and offered a whole load of inspiring ideas we hadn't previously considered. Later, with his designer, Sarah Spiroff we reviewed ideas, plans and materials and always felt in complete control and totally supported at every step. Our initial fears of getting overwhelmed by someone else's creative vision were completely unfounded and the design process felt like a true partnership that continued past the final plans and into the smaller details once construction began. Bill presented us up front with a thorough and detailed schedule, complete with staggered (and appropriate) payment dates that only slipped on account of our own change orders.
Upon the start of demolition and construction Remodel West, in the talented hands of Jim Welch, treated our house with the utmost respect, ensuring minimal intrusion to our daily lives by installing a dust wall (even in the garage) and keeping us appraised regularly of who to expect at the house and the work they would be doing. Bill followed up frequently with his check-ins, handled all permits and inspections and when a small mistake was made with the profile of the granite counter top (a pencil edge was cut when we had specced a straight edge) the team alerted us before it was installed and Sarah met me on her day off at the shop to discuss our options. I was never pressured into accepting the mistake and Remodel West quickly and effectively remedied the problem.
The resulting remodel is better than we could have imagined, with only some minor grumbles about the quality of the flooring - in part a material choice and in part installation sloppiness from a sub-contractor. We are so happy with their work we added a few change orders to have our house repainted and patio remodeled.
I cannot recommend Remodel West enough, the whole team were impressive and ultimately the finished product speaks for itself - the design, layout, fit and finish are exemplary. |
